While the hoe was primarily a paddle, it also doubled as a weapon when the need arose. A Hoe was the means of propulsion for the Maori waka (canoe). Carved paddles were the general property of the chief and were highly valued.
In most cases, our Hoe are purchased to be gifted as birthday gifts, leaving/welcoming gifts, celebrations, and corporate events.
