This Patu is really something else. A beautiful piece of  traditional Māori weaponry art. There are only a few made like it. It is translucent when held in front of a light. The most beautiful feature is the incredible veining we captured, which perfectly runs through the entire Patu. With such beauty, we expect this Taonga to find its home very soon. This Patu can come on a mapere base which can have up to 3 words engraved ( sold separately )

Mere or Patu were originally used by Māori in hand-to-hand combat. They were also utilized as an everyday tool for cutting and striking objects. These sacred ancent Māori Taonga are symbols of mana (authority), status, cultural identity, and important relationships.
